Mother's Day Kitsch Beach Gifts - Best Tabletop Gifts! Flower Walls & Faux Floral Delphinium. Flower Art Wall Art Abstract for Modern Decorative Accents
You know that friend who claims they have a "black thumb" like it's some sort of gothic superpower? That's who I was making these for twenty years ago, though I didn't know it at the time. Back then, I just thought ceramic flowers were clever. Now, having produced over 180 varieties, I realize they're basically emotional support objects for plant killers.
Every geranium, every lilac, every carefully glazed peony comes nestled in its own box, like a promise that this time will be different. This time, your wall sconce won't mysteriously turn brown. This time, your roses won't develop that weird fungus that Google insists is "totally treatable" but never actually is. Just one screw in the wall—we include the keyhole backing because we're enablers of the best kind.
I started this journey over a decade ago when my actual iris staged what I can only describe as a horticultural protest against my care. Now we release 25 new designs every January and July, because apparently my response to killing plants was to immortalize them in ceramic, which is either poetic or concerning—my therapist won't give me a straight answer.
Our collections read like a travel brochure written by someone who's afraid of airplanes. France (where our flowers judge you, but lovingly), English Garden (all the charm of British gardening without the rain), Japan (zen but make it wall decor), Coastal (for people who say "beach house" instead of "rental"), and Nantucket (New England fancy without the New England weather).
The thing about modern decorating is that everyone wants nature-inspired design until nature actually shows up with its neediness and death cycles. That's where we come in. Our ceramic pieces offer all the rustic charm of a flower window display with none of the maintenance drama. It's like having a garden that's been to therapy and worked through its issues.
Each dahlia is handmade, which is a nice way of saying that humans with varying levels of caffeine in their systems carefully craft each piece. We've been at this for twenty years, which in the gift industry is like 200 in regular years. We've seen trends come and go—succulents had their moment, air plants had everyone confused, that whole macramé situation—but ceramic flowers endure because they're honest about what they are: beautiful lies we tell ourselves.
Here's what I love about our greenery: it's democratic. Whether you're decorating a nursery or trying to make your studio apartment look like you have your life together, these pieces deliver. They're flower wallpaper in 3D, decorative accents for people who want to seem interesting without actually being interesting. I once arranged them to spell out "HELP" at a particularly boring dinner party. Nobody noticed, but the wall looked fantastic.
